**Role Description/Criteria**

St John the Apostle Catholic Primary School is located in Tarneit and opened in 2015. We belong to the Parish of St Andrew's Werribee. Our vision states:

We are currently seeking a teacher to replace teaching staff who are absent or attending professional development. This teacher will assist in the implementation of intervention programs or support when not overseeing a class. This role requires the applicant to be both collaborative and flexible, as they will be called to oversee a classroom or program on short notice.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:

- A Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and to the safety and wellbeing of the students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to be flexible
- The capacity to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- The ability to differentiate their teaching and make adjustments according to student needs
- An understanding of the curriculum and the skills of an effective teacher
- Strong classroom management and a talent for promoting positive student behaviour.

Special Requirements
- VIT Registration
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a willingness to undertake this into the future.
