**About the role**

We are excited to be opening a **brand-new store in Shellharbour**, and are seeking a talented **Visual Merchandiser** to play a key role in shaping its look and feel. This is a unique opportunity to bring your creativity, passion for styling, and merchandising expertise to a new store environment right from launch.

The Habitania customer experience is our number one priority, and this role is critical in ensuring our displays, layouts, and store atmosphere inspire our customers and maximise sales. Reporting to the VM Manager, you will be responsible for visual execution and maintenance of the Shellharbour store, working closely with the Store Manager and team.

**Key responsibilities**
- Drive the launch of the new Shellharbour store with engaging and inspirational visual merchandising
- Take ownership of the store's layout, windows, and displays, ensuring they reflect both brand standards and local customer preferences
- Maximise sales potential through innovative product placement and creative displays
- Work closely with the Store Manager to coach and train staff on visual merchandising techniques
- Maintain strong knowledge of store layouts and stock depth to ensure a consistent and commercially focused presentation
- Report on store layouts, stock positioning, and opportunities for improvement
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience environment within the store atmosphere

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Proven experience in a similar VM role, ideally in homewares, fashion, or lifestyle retail
- A passion for homewares and styling
- Strong initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
- Ability to coach and collaborate with store teams
- Your own vehicle to travel as needed
- The capability to lift and move stock into displays using safe manual handling techniques
- Tertiary qualification in Visual Merchandising or Design will be highly regarded, but not essential
