Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Travel Officer on a contract for 3 months with potential extension.
**Position Overview**
- Policy drafting, implementation and compliance: ensure operational effectiveness and compliance with Defence Travel Policy. Including providing advice on policy and travel matters.
- Maintain a suite of Travel materials and tools and internal stakeholder relationships to support Defence Travel.
- Secretariat for internal Travel Governance Board. As a Travel Advisor you would have a broad range of duties and responsibilities across the Travel Policy work program. As a Travel Advisor you will be required to;
- Work under general supervision across all areas of the work program.
- Contribute to policy research activities, support stakeholder engagement processes and provide administrative support to the team.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of materials and tools.
- Draft and review basic policy documentation under specific direction.
- Respond to straightforward requests for policy advice.
- Contribute to the preparation of correspondence, minutes, briefs, submissions, reports, updates or statements.
- Maintain accurate records of policy advice, including key discussions, decisions, handwritten and electronic notes.
- Coordinate and support stakeholder engagement processes.
- Draft and produce a range of documentation including updates, reports and correspondence.
- Assist with the management of operational activities and contributing to the development of outcomes to achieve the Travel Reform Program.
