About the Role We are looking for enthusiastic and caring people, with a genuine interest in a career in aged care, for a part-time traineeship opportunity with IRT.
This position is available in our Aged Care Centre at IRT Peakhurst.This exciting program is for a minimum of 24 months, and includes undertaking a Certificate III Individual Support, delivered by ITeC Academy, whilst gaining on-the-job experience and secure employment in a rapidly growing industry.
To Be Successful You Will Have A commitment to undertaking the Certificate III in Individual support qualificationAble to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week (combination of work and study), availability Thursday as this is an allocated study dayA big heart - you're empathetic, adaptable and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possibleA passion to begin your career in the aged care sectorFlexibility and availability to work shifts that include weekends, late afternoons and eveningsTo be eligible for a traineeship candidates must:Be living or working in NSWBe an Australian citizen or permanent residentMust nothave already completed or started studying a Certificate III in Individual Support or similar (higher qualifications in a like role such as Certificate IV or Bachelor make you not eligible for this traineeship)Have basic internet knowledge and ready access to the internetBe able to use a computer and have basic digital literacy skillsHave basic reading and writing skills to answer assessment questionsOwn a computer/device to be able to complete course requirements Benefits for You Competitive pay and more cash in your pocket (less tax) with not-for-profit salary packagingFlexible working conditionsBirthday leave - relax and take a day off on us
