Trainee Position in Aged Care

This opportunity is designed for individuals who are passionate about a career in aged care. We are seeking enthusiastic and caring people to join our team as trainees.



Job Description:

We are looking for candidates with a genuine interest in supporting older Australians to live their best life possible. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to undertake a Certificate III in Individual Support qualification while gaining on-the-job experience.


This exciting program includes a minimum of 24 months of training and employment in a rapidly growing industry. You will work closely with experienced staff members who will provide guidance and support throughout your training journey.



Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A commitment to undertaking the Certificate III in Individual Support qualification
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week (combination of work and study), availability Thursday as this is an allocated study day
  • A big heart - you're empathetic, adaptable and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possible
  • A passion to begin your career in the aged care sector
  • Flexibility and availability to work shifts that include weekends, late afternoons and evenings

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Be living or working in NSW
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Must not have already completed or started studying a Certificate III in Individual Support or similar (higher qualifications in a like role such as Certificate IV or Bachelor make you not eligible for this traineeship)
  • Have basic internet knowledge and ready access to the internet
  • Be able to use a computer and have basic digital literacy skills
  • Have basic reading and writing skills to answer assessment questions
  • Own a computer/device to be able to complete course requirements
