UnitingCare's Family and Disability Services (FaDS) is one of the largest and most diverse community service providers in Queensland providing a wide range of critical services with over 2,300 paid employees and 5,000 volunteers. Our services provide support to vulnerable individuals, families and communities in metropolitan, regional and remote locations across Queensland.

Our newly established FaDS property team reporting directly to the FaDS Group Executive will have the opportunity to work in partnership with senior leadership in the delivery of the FaDS property portfolio strategy.

Your part in our UnitingCare team

Reporting to the Property Lead the Leasing Partner is responsible for managing a portfolio lease from commencement, finalisation to renewal in line with FaDS strategic priorities. The Leasing Partner will provide a responsive, proactive service primarily for our Lifeline Retail service in respect to commercial leasing and tenant management. This will include:
- Source and negotiate, in partnership with operational teams, suitable lease premises which meet client, participants and retail needs.- Coordinate the approval, in partnership with internal stakeholders, all required documentation to ensure the timely lodgment of property/lease transaction documents.- Maintain appropriate financial records and payment/receipt rent schedules for properties under management- Assist with the preparation of and administration of property budgets as delegated and provide regular financial reports of variance and forecast against budget.- Support site managers in understanding the leasing arrangements and adherence to compliance with all property maintenance and management obligations- Support the development of systems and procedures with site managers to identify reactive and preventative maintenance requirements on leased properties.- Work in conjunction with the FaDS Facilities & Maintenance and Work, Health and Safety representatives to ensure potential leased property dealings are fit for purpose- Maintain accurate records of leased/licensed property and land assets across the portfolio, ensuring the timely update of property data and critical dates- Assist in the coordination and overseeing of the fit out and/or relocation of various premises for FaDS.

What makes a difference for us- Minimum of 1 year commercial property experience, with a desire to continue to learn.- Demonstrated ability/experience to work in a fast-paced team environment.- Analytical, problem solving and residential and/or commercial real estate services skills with demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes which are financially responsible and practical- Ability to undertake effective negotiations relevant to property transactions.- Experience in managing tenants, real estate agents and other contractors, commissioning valuations.- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including strong stakeholder management skills and well-developed computer skills- Ability to work autonomously, and/or work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team, showing attention to detail and technical competence.-
- Experience in preparing and monitoring real estate budgets.- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel with a high-level attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
