**Human Resources Manager**
**Kyogle Council | NSW**

Due to expansion and a focus on growth, Kyogle Council is seeking a Manager, Human Resources to join their team in this newly created role. Leading a small team, working across Payroll, Risk and Safety, and Human Resources functions, the Manager, Human Resources will guide and enable the team to meet the HR-related needs of the Council organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide the Council's leadership team with specialist advice on a broad spectrum of generalist human resources matters including Award interpretation, the council's HR legislative obligations, performance management and industrial relations.
- Ensure all aspects of the Council's Workforce Management Plan are embedded within the culture and frameworks of the council and its operations.
- Contribute to organisational plans, management capability, compliance with the Council's IP&R framework, Acts and Awards
- Ensure the Council's HR-related compliance and reporting requirements are being met.
- Work with key external stakeholders operating the Council's Apprentice and Traineeship programs.
- Influence performance and culture by establishing mentoring and development programs and enabling positive HR-related change where required.

**Personal Attributes and Qualifications**:

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of HR Law, Awards and HR Best Practices.
- Ability to lead a team, through effective guidance and communication
- Hands-on ability to coordinate all functional requirements of the HR team
- Advanced ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, including demonstrated interpersonal, oral, and written ability with a solution-focused mindset.
- Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline.
