This Federal Agency is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme, which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

As a Federal Agency, they work within a legislative and regulatory environment. They adhere to the Australian Public Service Code of Conduct as set out in section 13 of the Public Service Act 1999.

**Your new role**

The APS6 Case Management is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.

The position is a team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. The role is required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision-making for the team membership within the workplace.

The position is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support objectives.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Undertaking case management of complex AAT matters and analysing to develop options for early resolution.
- Obtaining necessary information and advice to effectively resolve matters.
- Attending Case Conferences, Conciliations and Hearings conducted by the AAT.
- Preparing documents detailing resolution options and outcomes at Case Management meetings.
- Assessing and responding to priorities and risks, including risk to the participant, Scheme sustainability and the NDIA.
- Preparing and maintaining electronic record keeping, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Professional, technical or management knowledge in a specialised area across a range of activities.
- Experience being accountable for developing plans and objectives for short-term tasks and contributing to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
- Experience of liaising with a range of stakeholders in relation to difficult or sensitive issues.
