Job Overview

The APS6 Case Management Officer is a critical role that requires leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management, and decision-making skills. The position involves undertaking complex work guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents.

About the Role

  • This case management officer will be responsible for managing complex AAT matters, analyzing data to develop options for early resolution, and preparing documents detailing resolution options and outcomes.
  • The officer will also obtain necessary information and advice to effectively resolve AAT matters, attend case conferences, conciliations, and hearings conducted by the AAT, and assess and respond to priorities and risks.
  • Additionally, the officer will prepare and maintain electronic record keeping, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.

Responsibilities

  1. Undertake case management of complex AAT matters, analyzing data to develop options for early resolution.
  2. Obtain necessary information and advice to effectively resolve AAT matters.
  3. Attend case conferences, conciliations, and hearings conducted by the AAT.
  4. Prepare documents detailing resolution options and outcomes at case management meetings.
  5. Assess and respond to priorities and risks, including risk to the participant, Scheme sustainability, and the Agency.
  6. Prepare and maintain electronic record keeping, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.
