Job Overview
This senior leadership role is responsible for leading the tax function across Australia and supporting expansion into Asia Pacific. As a strategic advisor, you will play a key part in shaping the company's tax strategy to ensure compliance and optimise tax costs.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee timely and accurate tax compliance for Australia and APAC region
Maintain integrity of tax filings & reporting, direct and indirect taxes across the Group
Represent the organisation at audits, appeals and negotiations with relevant authorities
Develop and implement tax procedures and policies across APAC
Balance tight tax compliance with commercial acumen
Manage relationships with external tax professionals
Tax-effect accounting, including statutory financial reporting
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require broad tax and financial governance experience, as well as strong business partnering skills. You should be able to demonstrate:
Leadership and advisory skills
Tax policy development and implementation expertise
Audit and negotiation management capabilities
Relationship building and management skills
Financial analysis and reporting proficiency
