Join a dynamic and forward-thinking local council servicing in the West of Melbourne. This council is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Officer to join their Capital Works team on a 12-month assignment.

**Your new role**

As a project officer for this company, your responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a variety of open space projects
- Collaborating and engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing council reports and tender documents and contract management
- Managing project risks, identifying issues, and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to project milestones, budgets, and quality standards
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure construction activities align with project specifications and regulatory requirements
- Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the project team

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Relevant tertiary experience within Project Management or Engineering
- Proven experience managing projects within Construction
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with key stakeholders
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
