The
role We are seeking a dynamic and caring
EAL (English Additional Language) Learning Assistant to join our
Learning Strategies Team at the Caulfield Campus of Caulfield
Grammar School.
This is a full-time, 6 month fixed
term role beginning Term 4, working as part of a supportive and
collegial team.
Under the direction of classroom teachers, you will
provide support to students with specific needs by accessing
curriculum and daily classroom
opportunities.
A key part of your role will be
assisting classroom teachers to plan, resource and implement
quality educational programmes tailored to support the individual
student needs.

making a real difference by positively impacting student experience
and contributing to our school
community.
Key
duties Assist teachers in the development and implementation of quality educational programmes.
Work co-operatively with teachers to ensure continuity in teaching strategies, methods of discipline and ways of working with individual children Maintain appropriate discretion when liaising with School parents.
Maintain written documentation on student learning as required.
Contribute positively to the wider team and school environment.
Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills and
experience Demonstrated experience supporting students with English Additional Language learning needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, friendly, approachable, shows initiative and is organised Able to prioritise and ensure work tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the expected standard School based experience would be of significant advantage Minimum Certificate III in related field Current or be willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check For further information please
