Job Title: Primary EAL Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and help them develop their English language skills.

The primary goal of this role is to provide high-quality education to students, promoting their academic and personal growth. This involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Develop and implement effective teaching programs for Primary EAL students, aligning with the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance to support their learning.
  • Communication and Relationships: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Professional Development: Commit to ongoing professional development and reflection on practice, ensuring best teaching practices are implemented.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Completed Bachelor of Education or equivalent qualification, preferably with a VIT recognised EAL qualification.
  • Certification: Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Driving Ability: Ability to drive or commute to any campus of the school.
