About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant – EAL to support the effective delivery of student administration and services within the Foundation Directorate. This is a great opportunity to contribute to student lifecycle support, drive administrative excellence, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative support across the student lifecycle, including enrolments, amendments, completions, and enquiries
  • Deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems (electronic and hardcopy)
  • Support meetings, events, and departmental projects
  • Use systems such as Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, CELCAT, and STRATA
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and team development
Skills and Experience Required
  • Relevant vocational qualifications and/or extensive experience in administrative support
  • Strong organisational and document management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and adaptable approach
Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
