Overview
Comunet is seeking a Cyber Practice Manager to join our Consulting team with a focus on the delivery of complex cyber and risk consulting engagements. This is a leadership role working alongside other Consulting Practice Managers and is ideal for someone experienced in scoping, delivering and managing ongoing client-facing programs of work. You will drive a secure-by-design mindset across engagements and act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders to develop capability within the team and grow Comunet's consulting practice. The role focuses on Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) but requires solid understanding of technical and business elements of Cyber including security architecture, technical designs, incident response and cyber culture & awareness.
Although formally reporting to the GM - Client Engagement, you will collaborate with client managers, consulting, services, and development teams to leverage broad skills and resources to deliver client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver expert-level cyber advice and consulting to clients.
Lead engagements across the full range of cyber domains, with a focus on: Governance, Risk Management & Compliance (GRC); Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Incident Response Frameworks; Cyber Security Culture & Awareness; Cyber Uplift Programs.
Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities in the cyber risk and advisory space.
Contribute internally and deliver externally robust Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) aligned with standards such as ISO 27001, ASD Essential 8, ISM, and SACSF.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to a growing team of cyber consultants.
Represent Comunet at industry events and with key partners, building strong collaborative relationships.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work through design and implementation engagements.
Experience & Skills
Leadership and mentoring skills, ideally in consulting or client-facing roles.
Expertise in developing and implementing ISMS and security frameworks; strong preference for ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification.
Strong understanding of risk assessments, treatments and ongoing management; ISM, ISO 27001, ASD E8, SA CSF and related processes.
End-to-end project lifecycle with a focus on secure-by-design; security architecture and ICT integration.
Proven business development acumen with ability to identify and win opportunities.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities; ability to lead and manage projects, develop proposals and work with various levels of stakeholders.
Knowledge and exposure to a wide range of technologies including Cloud, Networking and Applications.
