Job Title

Cyber Practice Lead

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Practice Manager to lead our Consulting team in delivering complex cyber and risk consulting engagements.

This leadership role requires someone skilled in scoping, delivering, and managing ongoing client-facing programs of work, while promoting a secure-by-design mindset across engagements.

As a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, you will develop capability within the team and grow Comunet's consulting practice by focusing on Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) principles, as well as technical and business elements of Cyber security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert-level cyber advice and consulting to clients.
  • Lead engagements across the full range of cyber domains, with a focus on Governance, Risk Management & Compliance (GRC); Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Incident Response Frameworks; Cyber Security Culture & Awareness; Cyber Uplift Programs.
  • Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities in the cyber risk and advisory space.
  • Contribute internally and deliver externally robust Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) aligned with standards such as ISO 27001, ASD Essential 8, ISM, and SACSF.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to a growing team of cyber consultants.
  • Represent at industry events and with key partners, building strong collaborative relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work through design and implementation engagements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Leadership and mentoring skills, ideally in consulting or client-facing roles.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing ISMS and security frameworks; strong preference for ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessments, treatments, and ongoing management; ISM, ISO 27001, ASD E8, SA CSF, and related processes.
  • End-to-end project lifecycle with a focus on secure-by-design; security architecture and ICT integration.
  • Proven business development acumen with ability to identify and win opportunities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities; ability to lead and manage projects, develop proposals, and work with various levels of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and exposure to a wide range of technologies including Cloud, Networking, and Applications.
