Cyber Security Manager Role

This is a leadership position focused on delivering complex cyber and risk consulting engagements. The ideal candidate has experience in scoping, delivering, and managing client-facing programs of work.

  • Deliver expert-level cyber advice and consulting to clients.
  • Lead engagements across cyber domains, focusing on Governance, Risk Management & Compliance (GRC), Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Incident Response Frameworks, Cyber Security Culture & Awareness, and Cyber Uplift Programs.

The right candidate will drive a secure-by-design mindset across engagements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop capability within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Cyber Advice and Consulting: Provide expert-level guidance and support to clients on cyber security matters.
  2. Engagement Leadership: Lead teams on complex cyber and risk consulting engagements, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  3. New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the cyber risk and advisory space.
  4. ISMS Implementation: Contribute to the development and implementation of robust Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) aligned with industry standards.
  5. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to a growing team of cyber consultants.
  6. Industry Representation: Represent the organization at industry events and with key partners, building strong relationships and promoting the organization's expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Leadership and mentoring skills, ideally in consulting or client-facing roles.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing ISMS and security frameworks; strong preference for ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessments, treatments, and ongoing management; ISM, ISO 27001, ASD E8, SA CSF, and related processes.
  • End-to-end project lifecycle with a focus on secure-by-design; security architecture and ICT integration.
  • Proven business development acumen with ability to identify and win opportunities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities; ability to lead and manage projects, develop proposals, and work with various levels of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and exposure to a wide range of technologies including Cloud, Networking, and Applications.
