KB Seafood Co is Australia's largest seafood company and one of the most awarded & successful food service operators. We provide over 30,000 tonnes of seafood annually to leading foodservice operators and major supermarkets.

Our brands include KB Seafood Co, Just Caught Frozen Seafood, KB's, By George and Kailis Bros, which is used under license, and we have over 2,700 active products in the market.

**About the Role**:
The role will be primarily responsible to work with all operational departments within the business ensuring the day - to - day compliance of our Food Safety and Quality System

The position will be Permanent Full time and based in Coolaroo, Victoria.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry our daily review of GMP in the factory (operational areas) and externally, and to help regulate company policies and procedures regarding food safety and compliance.
- Conduct Internal Audits of the operational areas for foreign objects and maintain the Glass and Hard Plastics Register for all production, storage and maintenance facilities as required.
- Assist with organoleptic assessments - carry out organoleptic product assessments and check retention samples on their best before date evaluate the quality and freshness.
- Review, amend and maintain packing specifications for the production areas.
- Inspect returned stock with quality issues, and report on findings.
- Help investigate customer feedback reports and internal corrective actions.
- Assist QA team with site audits and corrective actions.
- Assist QA Manager with additional testing or new process improvement projects, and product assessment trials.
- Assist with Quality Control duties when required, and with any QA related activities, in the absence of other team members.

**Skills & Experience**:

- HACCP trained.
- Experience in a similar role
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated self-management skills including effective time management, multi-tasking and organising skills.
- Previous experience in FMCG highly regarded.
