Position Overview
We are seeking a
Lead Carpenter
to oversee and complete residential construction projects. This role requires hands-on carpentry skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to quality. The ideal candidate has experience in outdoor construction, can work independently or with a crew, and ensures projects are completed on time and up to code.
Responsibilities
Build and install decks, screened porches, covered patios, and other outdoor structures
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
Manage and oversee job sites, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
Lead and direct laborers or helpers as needed
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Ensure projects meet deadlines and company standards
Qualifications
5+ years of carpentry experience
(outdoor construction experience strongly preferred)
Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
Must have a
valid driver's license
and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
Competitive hourly pay ($20–$35/hr depending on experience)
