Position:
.NET Developer for the Australian Electoral Commission.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is seeking qualified and experienced .NET Developers to support various ICT projects and programs. Responsibilities include working with the project team to enhance existing code and deliver new features.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to develop and enhance C# based enterprise software in accordance with AEC standards.
Develop automated build and deployment scripts using the .NET environment (.NET Core) and Microsoft technologies.
Follow Agile methodologies, utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps.
Liaise with technical and business staff to resolve issues promptly.
Provide analysis on complex issues, contribute to policy and project management.
Manage stakeholder relationships and represent the agency in forums.
Offer expert advice, guidance, and reporting on team responsibilities.
Make informed decisions based on legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Contribute to election readiness activities and other responsibilities as directed.
About the Division:
The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) within the AEC focuses on ICT functions, election system maintenance, and modernization projects, including the Modern Workplace Program, Cloud Technology Project, and the Indigo Program.
About the Project:
The Indigo Program (Tranche 2) aims to modernize electoral systems, focusing on business process re-engineering, data management, legislative compliance, and replacing aging systems.
Work Arrangements:
Preferably based in Canberra or Brisbane with hybrid options. Remote work considered where AEC facilities are unavailable.
