**Role Description/Criteria**

Trinity Primary School Richmond is a diverse learning community in the tradition of Ignation Spirituality which seeks an appropriately experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated leader to join our team in the position of Deputy Principal. The successful applicant will be suitably qualified and have a proven record of leadership.

The Deputy Principal will be an integral part of the School Leadership Team working closely with the Principal to play a significant role in all aspects of school organization and improvement.

The successful applicant will also have the role as Religious Education Leader with an ability to lead the development of a Faith Based Inquiry Learning Curriculum. The Deputy Principal/REL will work as part of a team with all school leaders to support and improve student learning outcomes.

The successful applicant will possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work successfully in building positive relationships with all key stakeholders.

Whilst the successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at the school, the Deputy Principal position will initially be offered as a fixed term position.

**The applicant must be able to demonstrate**:

- A Capacity to translate a broad and contemporary knowledge of Religious Education and Faith Development into effective program
- An understanding of personalised learning and the effective use of data in planning high-quality learning
- The ability to contribute to a positive culture
- A commitment to building positive relationships with the community
- A strong commitment to wellbeing and child safety
- Sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards

**Special Requirements**:

- A willingness to attend meetings and events during and out of school hours as required
- Accredited to teach Religious Education (Or be prepared to complete this study)
- VIT Registration
