Catholic Healthcare is growing and delivering care with a mission to promote the dignity, life and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities. Reports directly to the Residential Manager at Lewisham Nursing Home and delivers pastoral care services for residents and clients, ensuring they have choice in maintaining their cultural and spiritual wellbeing.
Location: Lewisham NSW. Employment type: Permanent part-time (Wed to Fri, 8:30am to 4:30pm). Pay: From $35 to $46.50 per hour + superannuation. Not-for-profit employer with associated tax benefits.

Responsibilities
Provide personal spiritual support and pastoral care to residents and clients in line with their preferences and Catholic Healthcare's Mission.
Support mission formation activities for employees within the residential aged care home.
Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues and residents, following all policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Cert III or Cert IV in Pastoral Care or similar qualifications in theology or spirituality.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, particularly as it relates to the dignity of life and aged care.
Commitment to supporting the pastoral/spiritual care needs of the sick and elderly and their family members.
Respect for the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents.
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
