St Peter's caters for 93 residents, and offers comfort and security with 24 hour, seven day a week, registered nursing care. We offer a home-like environment where residents and staff are treated with compassion, dignity and respect.
The role involves the provision of effective pastoral care services to residents and their families ensuring that residents receive pastoral and spiritual care appropriate to their individual needs. The Pastoral Care Coordinator is responsible for promoting and ensuring the CHL mission, vision and values are integrated in the home and to work collaboratively with the Residential Manager and staff.
- To be successful for the role you will have:_
- Background & Qualifications in Pastoral Care (Clinical Pastoral Education, Theology, or Spirituality)
- Previous pastoral experience in an aged care environment is highly desirable
- Ability to demonstrate Catholic Healthcare's values of Courage, Compassion and Integrity
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and active listening skills
- Exceptional planning skills and ability to complete computer based pastoral care plans for each resident
- Qualifications in counselling are desirable
- Ability to provide a weekly Holy Communion Service and Ecumenical Church service for non
- Catholic is desirable
- Covid vaccinated
- NDIS Check or willing to obtain
