**Position**: Assistant Baker
**Location**: 228 Gertrude St, Fitzroy
**Schedule**:3-5 days per week, 2:00 AM - 9:00 AM
**Openings**:2 part-time roles or 1 full-time role
**Salary**:$30 per hour (higher rates negotiable based on experience)

Fatto a Mano, located in the heart of Fitzroy, has been crafting artisan bread for over 19 years. We specialise in traditional baking techniques to create products that delight our customers. Known for our exceptional sourdough and gluten-free bread, we take pride in using high-quality organic ingredients to produce baked goods that stand out and are beloved by the community.

As an Assistant Baker at Fatto a Mano, you will support our head baker in the preparation and baking of a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a love for the art of baking.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, pastries, and other baked goods.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and specific instructions.
- Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery and equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a bakery or similar environment is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work early mornings.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of flour and other ingredients.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
