Your focus will include:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets during all project phases, from conceptual design to construction completion.- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to guide project decision-making.- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with approved financial parameters.- Track and report on cost variations, ensuring timely identification and resolution of budget overruns.- Lead value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising design integrity or compliance.- Prepare cost breakdowns and tender documents for contractor bidding processes.- Review and evaluate contractor and supplier bids, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness.- Provide recommendations on procurement strategies and contract negotiations.- Work closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to align cost planning with project goals and requirements.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in cost planning or quantity surveying, with at least 5 years specialising in healthcare construction projects (e.g., hospitals, clinics, outpatient facilities).- Proven ability to manage budgets for large-scale and complex projects effectively.- Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements, including infection control, medical equipment integration, and regulatory compliance.- Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Procore) and financial modelling tools.
