Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
About the role
The Health Equity Research Officer works collaboratively with Metro North Research, the Metro North Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Leadership Team, First Nations peoples, communities, and organisations, to provide cultural advice, leadership, guidance, support and education for Metro North Research strategic priorities designed to embed research practices that enable the creation of a healthcare system which provides physically, culturally and psychologically safe care tailored to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
