As an HR Officer, you will support all aspects of the employee life cycle for our employees and will report to the HR Manager. The role is highly varied, and as the business grows, there is potential for the role to develop.

**Responsibilities**:
**Employee Recruitment / termination**
- Support the Business Unit (BU) Managers throughout the recruitment process
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding

**HR management of current staff**
- Assist management and employees with their HR queries
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS
- Work closely with Payroll regarding leave and pay issues
- Review and report on Continual Professional Development (CPD)
- Support the BU Managers with the performance management process
- Facilitate employee wellbeing initiatives

**Legal**
- Employment contract management and distribution
- Maintain and develop HR policies and processes
- Assist with our WH&S responsibilities

**Other**
- Actively support the HR Manager with a variety of HR initiatives
- Escalate HR issues to the HR Manager as appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Report to the HR Manager

**Essential requirements**:

- 5+ years in an administrative role
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organised with competent time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Fluent English

**Preferable requirements**:

- Tertiary qualification in HR
- Experience of working in:

- A HR role
- A small team
- Proven ability to:

- Work autonomously
- Understanding of:

- Industrial relations
- Fair Work Act
