Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale multi-residential developments in Canberra.
This role offers the opportunity to be directly involved in shaping some of the city's most exciting projects.Key AccountabilitiesYou will be responsible for managing various stages of project delivery, establishing and maintaining procedures for cost control, procurement, design resolution, and coordination of trades across our developments.ResponsibilitiesWorking with the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing your own trade packagesAttend regular site meetings with Designers/consultants and subcontractorsComplete tenders from design resolution right through to award and implementation of the selected subcontractor on siteUnderstand the site rules and emergency proceduresMonitor, review & report periodically on the progressive performance of subcontractors against the scope, program and budgetSupport the Project Manager and other employees on the project in undertaking their responsibilitiesHighlight any issues that would have significant implication on time, cost and safetyQualifications & ExperienceTertiary qualification in Building and Construction (or similar)5-7 years' experience in a comparable role within the construction industryProven ability to manage external consultants and subcontractors effectivelyStrong track record of building and maintaining positive working relationshipsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalTeam-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilitiesThis is an opportunity to take ownership of critical packages within landmark developments in Canberra.
