The Education and Learning portfolio delivers a range of accredited, non-accredited and case management services and due to a growing demand we are seeking a highly motivated, outcome focused Learner Support Services Case Manager to join our Learning team on a Full-time basis located at our Kent Town Head office. You will also be required to travel across Elizabeth East and Marion sites.
Reporting to the Program Manager - Learner Support Services you will provide case management and support for students with complex needs, to ensure they achieve a successful vocational education training (VET) outcome and transition to further study or employment.
The day-to-day activities will include:
- Providing a range of effective Learner Support Services (LSS) to students undertaking VET qualifications within the guidelines of the LSS deed and Operational Guidelines
- Assessing the student's living, learning and transition needs
- Providing individualised practical and emotional support to students in a proactive manner and liaise with trainers and other key stakeholders
- Working collaboratively with referring RTO's to ensure effective achievement of outcomes as per the LSS support plan
**About You...**
In this role, you will be driven to provide a range of effective and individualised wrap-around support and referral services to students with complex needs to ensure they achieve a successful vocational education training (VET) outcome and transition to further study and employment.
- Previous experience in meeting the needs of people at risk, people with disabilities and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proven experience and success supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve learning outcomes
- Knowledge and understanding of the Vocational Education and Training sector
- Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions.
- Engagement skills and the ability to influence and motivate students using a coaching and advisory approach to achieve quality client outcomes.
**For this role, you will need to**:
- Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- A current valid Driver's License, willingness to drive, and your own registered vehicle with a 4-5 star ANCAP safety rating
- Willing to undertake Mental Health First Aid and Disability Awareness training.
