Job Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor is dedicated to providing the highest standard of Capella in the curation of a luxury comfort experience to all guests. The individual is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of all guest areas and ensures that they meet the highest standards of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

**Administration**:
Assists the Executive Housekeeper in the smooth and efficient running of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all the policies and procedures outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual are Strictly adhered to.
Assists in the preparation and updating of the Housekeeping Departmental Operations Manual.
Read and update the communications book daily.
Coordinates and maintains equipment maintenance reports and records.

**Customer Service**:
Handle guest and colleague enquires in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow up.
To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene adhere to the hotel and Forbes grooming standards.
To maintain good working relationship with your colleague and all other departments.

Main Duties

Provides inspirational leadership, clear vision and direction to team members to ensure delivery of the Capella brand with uncompromising values, honor and integrity, also to create and delivering personalized, unique, memorable and an exceptional experience for our guests and team members.
To ensure that Forbes standards of cleanliness is followed and set up in all areas
- front of house and back of house.
To report to the Housekeeping Office. Security or Duty Manager any unusual incidents, complaints, unauthorized persons in rooms, public areas, missing or damaged hotel property and lost and found items. (Reporting any suspicious activity to Security.)
Responsible for the performance of the Public Area Attendants by coordinating the daily tasks, providing supervision, training and guidance to ensure highest level of cleanliness according to the hotel's standards.

**Other Duties**:
Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, guest lifts, guest corridors, lobby areas, all windows, hotel driveway, all public doors, restaurant areas, all function spaces, SPA areas, front and back of house offices, and all back of house areas.
Ensure all heritage items is maintain in good will.
Cleaning any spilled of food, drink, vomit, and removing any trash from the hotel.
To read the hotel's Colleague Handbook and TCM have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.

Talent Profile

Experiences in similar role at luxury hotels/resorts
Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating guest relations.
Basic command of written and spoken English
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals and surfaces
Valid working rights in Australia
