Easy Authoring is seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Officer to co-ordinates and supports a range of accounting, administrative and business partnering activities

**Purpose of the role**:
The Assistant Finance Officer co-ordinates and supports a range of accounting, administrative and business partnering activities within the Branch Accounting and Reporting team.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Provide a range of financial and business partnering support for Ministry branches to assist the team in meeting strategic and operational objectives.
- Undertake a "Gatekeeping" role for Branches within the iProcurement and Oracle environment while ensuring compliance with relevant Finance and Accounting policies.
- Assist with financial tasks relating to month end to support reporting requirements, including liaising with Ministry branches on their budget management registers (BMRs) used for forecasting.
- Assist with providing financial information required to comply with funding conditions and managing program budget and expenditure reporting.
- Assist with the preparation and updating of performance reporting, commentary and monthly forecasting models to support an effective review of business performance.

**Essential criteria**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant financial or accounting discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards with a demonstrated ability to acquire knowledge of the Public Sector Finance and Audit Act
- Robust excel proficiency and experience with Oracle and/or equivalent financial systems
- Experience with using Power BI and/or analytical dashboard tools (beneficial but not required)
- Business partnering and stakeholder management skills
