The Health Capital Division (HCD) works with the Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), the Department of Health, other government agencies and the construction sector to achieve value for money infrastructure outcomes.HCD delivers an end-to-end capital infrastructure process. This includes all capital planning, business cases, construction and maintenance programs, whilst managing these through government processes for Queensland Health in partnership with HHSs.The Division is client focused and tailors its support to the individual needs of our HHS partners.
The roleIn this role you will be responsible for providing critical advice and administrative support to program and senior management. You will be required to ensure projects and activities are managed in accordance with Queensland Health approved project management methodologies. You will also assist the Senior Director in managing reporting, correspondence, and analysis of financial information. As the Project Officer, within HCD you will liaise with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective governance and compliance. You will also maintain innovative business improvement and efficiencies for the unit including correspondence methodologies and electronic records management.
The successful personTo be successful in the role, you will have a demonstrated ability to prepare, monitoring, and reporting on program/project budgets and understanding of the pressures and constraints. You will also be highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality outcomes. You will exercise initiative in identifying and analysing problems, as well as developing, and implementing effective solutions. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be critical to build and maintain business relationships in a complex and changing environment. Whilst not mandatory a relevant qualification in project support, with sound financial and governance skills will be highly regarded.
