**People that are successful as a Talent Specialist are often**:

- known by friends, family and colleagues as a connector someone who is always helping others with contacts, resources and opportunities
- great planners and coordinators who love ticking off a busy to-do list
- keen to share their experience and knowledge with their network
- are quite competitive - in sport, work, life - they may love running marathons or might have been school captain or played netball at a representative level. We even have recruiters that are competitive gamers or have passions for Dungeons and Dragonsthe list goes on
- highly emotionally intelligent - they just get people and can read between the lines
- degree qualified - but there is no degree in recruitment, correct, so maybe they studied business, law or commerce, maybe even IT, but now at the end, they are not sure what field they want to go into.. what could be next? A career in recruitment maybe?
- have a sales background. Sales is one of the hardest part of a recruiters job to train, so prior sales knowledge is fabulous. B2B Sales is excellent, but so is retail sales.
