This is a rare chance to step into a cutting-edge role focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and sovereign cloud frameworks via Google Digital Services (GDS).
The successful candidate will bring solid cloud design or architecture experience (across GCP, AWS, Azure or hybrid environments), with a keen interest in deepening their Google Cloud expertise — including progression toward GDS certification for sovereign solutions.
Canberra Based NV1 security clearance (mandatory); NV2 highly desirable Market Rate Contract or Permanent Key Responsibilities Shape and contribute to cloud architecture and delivery across Defence/government-aligned programs Support cloud design patterns, roadmap development, and solution delivery using GCP technologies Collaborate with infrastructure, software, and security teams to align cloud outcomes with sovereign capability Take part in the GDS certification journey, building specialised knowledge in secure government cloud frameworks Apply best practices in automation, resilience, and security within cloud deployments Liaise with project leads and stakeholders to meet mission requirements and uplift technical maturity Candidate Profile Prior experience in cloud design, engineering, or architecture (GCP exposure preferred)Familiarity with secure cloud deployments and infrastructure-as-code tooling Interest in building deep GCP proficiency and pursuing GDS certification Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Enthusiastic about contributing to sovereign capability uplift and long-term transformation projects Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting and Business Consulting and Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Talent Mode by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for "Cloud Architect" roles.
