Head Of Facilities Management

**About the role**

We are excited to welcome a Head of Facilities Management to lead a highly talented and committed team of Facilities Managers to join our Infrastructure team.

The role is accountable for ensuring optimal and efficient utilisation of precinct engineering and structural assets comprising plant, equipment, building reticulated services, building fabric, roads/pathways, furniture, fittings and equipment.

In this role, you will lead the procurement and ongoing management of contracted services ensuring asset management, maintenance and building works activities are delivered on time, on budget and with the safety of guests, staff, clients and visitors front of mind.

**You will be responsible for the facilities management of one of the world's most unique and diverse sports and entertainment precincts. **The Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct is home to six of Melbourne's premier venues; Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena, AAMI Park, Kia Arena and CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park as well as an array of other professional sporting and administrative facilities, as well as recreational spaces, including the National Tennis Centre, Two Show Courts, 35 Outdoor Tennis Courts, Six Indoor Tennis Courts, Tennis HQ, Olympic Park Oval, Gosch's Paddock and the AIA Centre (Collingwood Football and Netball Club) - all of which form the scope of the Infrastructure team's remit, you will work hand in hand with tenant and Venue teams to manage and enhance these facilities.

**Here are some of the things you'll have the opportunity to be involved in**:
Contract & Relationship Management
- As M&OP procures maintenance services for key infrastructure, you will lead a team through the scope, tender, appointment, and integration of service providers to our business.
- Using your commercial acumen, you will work with our service contractors to improve the quality of quotes and processing of work orders.
- Lead the team to provide industry best practice in safety and performance management of contractors.

Asset Management
- Working closely with the Strategic Asset Manager, you will ensure the delivery and ongoing excellence in preventative maintenance schedules and asset management plans for all M&OP's facilities.
- Play a key role in improving the maturity of asset management practices across the business.

Team Leadership
- You will champion your team's performance, development and career progression using your constructive and supportive leadership style. Work with venue teams, tenants, and key stakeholders on infrastructure issues, providing timely and expert advice.
- Encourage and facilitate cross collaboration, involvement in projects and initiatives outside of the core Facilities Management remit building an integrated, united and fun team environment
