An exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant / Junior Garment Technician to join a dynamic team at French Connection. This role will assist throughout the product development process by supporting the Production Team and

Design & Buying Team in maintaining production schedules and Buy Plans, monthly style specification packs and preparing samples for weekly fit sessions.

**THE ROLE**:

- Support the Womenswear Production team with daily administrative responsibilities
- Assist in raising and updating monthly purchase orders.
- General filing of samples and documentation.
- Allocating supplier style numbers after the buy and entering the buy plan.
- Liaise with trim suppliers to ensure good communication between trim and apparel suppliers.
- Maintain and update style folders including filing of any approvals.
- Assist in producing and sending style packs to relevant suppliers
- Create technical drawings when required.
- Coordinate sample arrival details and send the fit schedule to buying and production teams,
- Join fit session when required with senior garment technician.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:

- Formal qualifications or relevant experience in production and/ or quality control within apparel industry.
- Previous experience in a similar role with a minimum of 2+ years' experience with offshore production.
- Womens Apparel experience preferred.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of garment construction, size specifications and fitting garments
- An ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Outstanding PC skills and clear verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Proficiency in all MS Office, specifically in Excel.
