Clemenger BBDO is looking for a Creative Director (Full Time) to join their Melbourne team

Specific Responsibilities
Knowledge
You will need to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the industry, in particular around marketing and communication strategies and their execution.
You will also need an excellent understanding of what makes for standout strategic and creative work and progress the agency agenda in this field.
You will also need to develop a deep knowledge of your clients' business. In particular as a Creative Director you will need an understanding of their marketing challenges, business objectives and the role of creative in achieving those.
Processes
As the Creative Director you will be responsible for leading all work going through the department to produce standout campaigns that are flawlessly executed.

**In particular this will include**:

- Leads the creative development process - you will be required to lead and direct the creative development process, taking the client brief, ensuring this is turned into a strategic response, leading creative briefings and reviews. In doing this you will need to be able to inspire and motivate those working around you.
- Leads the creative presentation processes - you will be required to lead the presentation of the work including developing compelling presentations. You will need to be able to discuss the work fluently, persuasively and passionately with the client and articulate the agency point of view.
- Quality control - you will be required to oversee and lead your team in the production process taking responsibility for work being produced to an excellent standard and on time every time.
- Problem solving - you will need to be able to problem solve at any stage of the process and work issues through to a satisfactory conclusion.

Meetings
As part of your role as Creative Director, you will be required to participate and at times lead both internal and external client meetings.

**This will include**:

- Leadership - you will be expected to lead key creative meetings with clients, ensuring the agency view is well presented with adequate support and evidence.
- Presentation of work - you will be required to play an active role, along with GAD, planner and creative team in the presentation of creative and strategic work. This will include the development and delivery of persuasive presentations.

Relationships
You will be required to develop strong relationships within the agency and with clients founded on a culture of honesty, respect and reliability.
As Creative Director you will required to develop deep and enduring relationships with your clients, team, act management and planners.

**Key to this will be developing strong relationships with**:

- Clients - you will be required to develop strong client relationships at a senior level. This will be a genuine partnership founded on an understanding of the client business, marrying it with the agency agenda resulting in a fruitful and positive relationship where great ideas can flourish.
- Internal Stakeholders - key relationships will be with act management, with whom you will need to work in partnership with to develop strategic creative responses to client briefs and to brief teams. In addition you will need strong relationships where you will need to command the wider team's respect and trust.
- External stakeholders - you will need to work closely with senior external stakeholders to align agency visions and collaboratively serve client needs.

- Perceived by the broader agency as a contributor to the culture through 360° feedback and being involved in developing and maintaining the culture of the agency.
