Precincts and Venues oversee the operations, business improvement, maintenance/capital works, leasing and service delivery of Sport and Recreation's precincts and venues that deliver healthy and active opportunities to Queenslanders such as outdoor recreation and sport programs, functions and events at regionally significant venues across Queensland. The venues and precincts include stadiums, accommodation and catered facilities, function rooms, sporting fields and leisure centres, in addition four of the venues offer serviced office space and support for over 40 industry organisations.

**The Business Development role is required to**:

- Provide project administration, data management and client communications to support the development of products and services in our venues.
- Analyse and interpret data, review and provide input in the development of action plans to support improvement and business development initiatives.
- Draft discussion papers, reports, briefing notes, submissions and other associated correspondence on a range of complex venue management issues.
- Develop, manage and evaluate marketing and communications plans as a part of project development in accordance with department and government protocols.
- Update and contribute to the improvement of web pages, flyers, brochures, and other communication materials in support of the sporting venue management.
- Communicate, liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships, resolve issues and work as a part of an effective team.
- Work autonomously to efficiently manage your work flow, negotiate priorities and timeframes.
- Work in accordance with departmental policies and local processes and systems.

**Note**: The position may undertake travel to city, regional and remote locations including overnight stays and will require occasional travel to remote locations including overnight stays.

It is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold a C Class driver's licence.
Citizenship/visa
To be appointed to a permanent position, you must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work permanently in Australia. For temporary appointments, you must have a visa permitting you to work for the length of the temporary appointment.
COVID-19 Vaccination (Gold Coast Precinct only)
To be eligible for appointment to this position, you must provide acceptable evidence that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You are considered fully vaccinated under the policy when you have the prescribed doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved for use in Australia or recognised by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
The department may approve an exemption for a person who is unable to receive the prescribed COVID-19 vaccines due to a medical contraindication or whom is a participant in a COVID-19 vaccine trial.
