About the role

What you'll be doing:
- Ensure platforms related incidents are identified, assessed, reported, communicated, mitigated and monitored.- Responding to security incidents escalated from the service desk and other areas in the organization.- Drive upliftment, innovation and availability of all security platforms and configuration for optimum security functions.- Work closely with the Security Architecture team providing an operational lens to facilitate the creation of patterns, to assist with design feedback and to facilitate outreach into project teams and the business.- Define create and maintain proxy policies, implement GRE/IPSec tunnels and manage PAC file changes on Web proxy.- Design, implement and collaborate on a range of cybersecurity metrics.- Provide high quality documentation and operations SOPs that can be used to share skills and facilitate better planning with platform teams.- Support the Change Management Board (CAB) process by ensuring all changes are assessed for impact on all security aspects and attending CAB meetings where appropriate.- Excellent troubleshooting skills, self-motivated, results-driver and well organized.

What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience in managing a team and tracking to organizational defined performance metrics.- Ability to prioritise and triage across a wide range of business driven activities, both BAU and Project, while still maintaining platform stability and driving platform improvements and roadmap activities.- Experience working in Cyber Security with good understanding of security operations including network security, anti-malware solutions, proxy, encryption, system patching and vulnerabilities and automated policy compliance.-
- Experience in IT engineering roles in Windows servers and proxy products supporting various network connection protocols like RDP, SSH, RADIUS, and HTTP.- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, web protocols and networking concepts.- Understanding of with vulnerability management, risk management, and patching processes and respective exploit vectors/techniques- Good knowledge of Kasada, Akamai and/or Azure Web Application Firewall configuration and management is preferable.- Knowledgeable in Azure or AWS tenant hosting environment and access control model
