The Opportunity

This role exists to develop and deliver transport strategy and direction to Supply Chain. To ensure transport strategy reflects both external pressures and changes, internal drivers of service, business performance and growth. To manage the development, design and delivery of new transport networks to support network state.

**Key responsibilities will be:
- To deliver transport strategy and direction to Supply Chain to guide development and change
- To manage the development, design and delivery of new transport networks to support network strategy
- To develop strategic recommendations on design of new transport and distribution networks
- To ensure all transport design recommendations are supported by accurate and robust modelling and analysis
- To build Woolworths transport modelling capability
- Optimise supply chain networks prior to tender/execution of sourcing strategy
- Development and implementation of alternative transport and 3PL commercial models (e.g. fixed and variable, mechanisms to promote continuous improvement)
- Transport modelling and analysis to support fleet procurement recommendations Develop strategies to implement transport technology (e.g. routing and automation of planning)**Who we're looking for**
