Director Enterprise Strategy, Planning

You're excited about this opportunity to join our Strategy branch supporting the Secretary in delivering the Government's statewide priorities and Ministerial priorities for Transport for NSW.

You bring clarity to strategy, enabling you to set the direction for planning and performance across Transport, and empowering teams to deliver with confidence and accountability.

In this role, you'll:

• Lead, develop and review Transport enterprise strategy to support government priorities
• Develop, own and maintain enterprise-wide governance, frameworks, strategies and policies as they apply to enterprise strategy and prioritisation, planning and reporting requirements across Transport, in line with Treasury policy guidance and relevant legislation.
• Set planning and reporting requirements including metrics, measures and QA, ensuring clear lines of accountability.
• Enhance tools, templates and associated artefacts that drive action relating to planning and performance.
• Coordinate the delivery of enterprise planning and reporting that meets Government, Minister and Executive expectations including the Transport for NSW corporate plan and Annual Report, and provide guidance to other Transport agencies on their reporting obligations.
• Lead teams through change and capability uplift, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within your team.

About You

You're an experienced senior executive with a proven ability to align enterprise planning, budgeting, and prioritisation with government and organisational priorities. Your deep expertise in developing and maintaining enterprise-wide governance frameworks, strategies, and reporting processes enables you to deliver high-quality planning and performance insights that meet the expectations of Ministers, Executives, and external stakeholders.

Experience in a similar role within Local, State and/or Federal Government is essential. Supported by tertiary qualifications and strong analytical acumen, you lead strategic initiatives that enhance transparency, accountability, and alignment across Transport. You foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders to deliver on key objectives.

You're passionate about building organisational capability and have a proven track record of successfully leading teams through change. Through targeted recruitment, workforce planning, and talent development, you've built high-performing, resilient teams.
