Are you skilled in system implementation and configuration? Do you thrive on improving processes and enhancing systems? We're seeking a proactive Payroll Specialist to join our client's team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to system upgrades and process improvements while supporting payroll operations.
Role Overview
As part of an experienced team, you'll play a key role in day-to-day payroll operations while contributing your expertise in system implementation and process improvement. You'll be instrumental in transitioning to a new HRIS platform, ensuring smoother payroll functionality and compliance for the future.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the HRIS project team to test, migrate, and implement new system features effectively.
Identify opportunities for process optimisation and ensure workflows remain efficient and streamlined.
Provide confident support for payroll-related inquiries.
Assist with fortnightly and monthly payroll processing with accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain up-to-date employee records, including onboarding, terminations, and leave management.
About You
You are a detail-oriented professional who excels at improving system functionality and team processes. Your collaborative approach ensures smooth transitions and effective communication across teams. You bring:
Experience in system implementation or configuration, with a focus on adaptability, teamwork, and process enhancement.
A strong understanding of Australian employment laws and payroll compliance requirements.
Proven expertise in accurate payroll processing.
Excellent communication skills - whether working with people or data, you convey information clearly and confidently.
Hands-on experience managing HRIS systems efficiently.
Familiarity with Employment Hero software is advantageous but not essential.
