**About the role**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing and Warehouse Assistant. In this role, you will support both the purchasing and warehouse functions to ensure smooth operations and effective inventory management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels, handle purchasing activities, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Purchasing Support**:

- Receive and process inventory requests from internal teams.
- Raise purchase orders using our internal system (Excel-based).
- Communicate with suppliers to place orders, track delivery progress, and follow up on outstanding shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and supplier correspondence.
- **Warehouse Support**:

- Assist with receiving and checking goods upon arrival, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Assist to organize and manage inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained to meet operational needs.
- Assist to coordinate the distribution of stock to internal departments or delivery points.
- Assist with regular stock takes and inventory audits.

**Key Skills & Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, or warehouse operations (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic computer systems.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on problem-solving.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kgs

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 38 per week
