Our service provides culturally appropriate and competent support to predominantly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander NDIS participants with a high quality of care and understanding to the specific needs of Indigenous peoples. We focus on culture, person centred caring, assisting our clients to meet their goals, health requirements and aspirations to increase their quality of life wholistically.

At Full Circle Projects we offer some flexible hours to ensure our team have a work/life balance that suits and a variety of care times including mornings, afternoons and overnights at a higher rate than other disability service providers.

- **Opportunities**_
- We are seeking male and female culturally competent support workers that have experience in mental health, & moderate care needs to support male and female participants._
- _**DESIRED **_Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons._
- _**DESIRED**_ _experience supporting people with_mental health_**,**_ _intellectual impairment, challenging behaviours, physical and/or cognitive disability._
- _**MUST**_ _be available for either morning, evening, active awake & possible sleepover shifts._
- _**MUST**_ _have an unrestricted Qld drivers licence, own reliable car and be able to transport participants to required activities and/or appointments_
- _**MUST **_have a current blue card or the capacity to obtain one._
- **Casual staff requirements**:_
- Must have a high degree of competency and understanding of Indigenous culture.
- Must have availability, potentially including weekdays, weekends, sleepovers & active awake shifts.
- Must have own mobile phone for rostering, client and service provider communication.
- Experience with people with disability and complex behaviours.
- Passionate about helping people & making a difference.
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team and access training.
- Able to manage challenging situations safely and effectively.
- Reliable & organised.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Flexible hours
- Morning shift
- Night shift

COVID-19 considerations:
As it is now widely understood and stated by products manufacturers that current Covid vaccinations do not stop infection or transmission, vaccination is not essential though is reliant on the needs/wishes of clients in contact with.
