**IHMS is currently looking to hire an experienced Counsellor for it's immigration detention center located in Broadmeadows on a casual basis.**

**The Role**:
In this role you will be providing counselling support services to persons in Immigration Detention in accordance with IHMS Policies and RACGP Standards. You will be doing this through assessment, case formulation and case management, structured interview techniques and therapeutic interventions.

**Required**:

- Relevant qualifications and or experience in counselling, social welfare, education or social sciences
- 3 years proven experience in the delivery of counselling services, case management and case coordination in mental health setting
- Experience working in AOD areas or with individuals with AOD issues (highly desirable)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid Certificate obtained within the last 12 months
