Australia Country Motel Ipswich Full time

CASUAL RECEPTIONIST at a busy motel, Raceview, Ipswich. Our 45 guestrooms are varied in styles to accommodate individual guest requirements. There is a restaurant and function centre onsite that is separately operated.

**About the role**

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic motel receptionist to join our front of house team. This position is to provide relief from front desk duties for our fulltime manager. You will be working alongside our manager, and we are happy to train the successful applicant that meets our prerequisites.

**Responsibilities**

Greeting guests on arrival to the motel and making them instantly feel at ease.

Processing check-ins and explaining key facilities within the motel including the on-site restaurant.

Creating final bills at check-out and processing payments.

Helping guests with special requests, for example wake-up services and taxi bookings.

Liaising with housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are available for check-in.

**Location & commitments**

The position is casual, Monday to Friday. Mainly evening shifts based between 4pm - 9pm (sometimes 5 hours, sometimes 3) at times it may vary i.e. 9am -2pm. etc

Weekly hours from 10 to 25 hours per week depending on assistance required by management

Ability to address guest complaints efficiently and effectively to ensure overall customer satisfaction.

High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy with bookings, when taking messages and dealing with guests' personal information.

Great organisational skills, being able to multi-task and juggle competing priorities throughout a shift.

Must be reliable and committed to shift times.

**Desirable**:
Hotel industry knowledge and experience: Understanding of how a hotel operates on a day-to-day basis, including guest interactions and other functions such as housekeeping and room service.
