As the world moves towards a smarter, safer and sustainable future, Iluka's high-quality products are increasing in demand.About the roleWe have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Process Control Specialist to join our team.
You will be providing support to both our Narngulu Mineral Separation and Eneabba Rare Earth Plants.
Reporting directly to the Operational Technology Specialist, the key aspect of this role is to assist in the engineering, maintenance and management of process control hardware, process control applications, operator user interfaces, process control reporting tools and safety control systems.
You will provide support to our site and project teams in designing and implementing new control system solutions as required.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with on-call availability required.
Specific responsibilities will be:Assist the Eneabba and Narngulu operational sites in all aspects of plant process control systems and network maintenance Perform PLC, DCS and SCADA programming/configuration changes for upgrade projects or identified operational improvements Troubleshooting to ensure operating plant downtime is minimized and plant integrity is not compromised Assist with continuous improvement of plant process control systems Support of Iluka's change management and implementation process Ensure the ongoing safe operation of plant and equipment About youTo be successful in the role, you will have:Engineering, computing qualifications and/or an electrical trade background Previous experience in an industrial or mining environment Advanced knowledge of networking, virtualized computer server systems, and workstation management Experience with SCADA configuration and development Experience with PLC and DCS programming and fault-finding Working knowledge of Virtualised Windows operating systems Restricted Electrical Workers' Licence and/or Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation is desired Our offer to youIluka values its employees, your contributions will be rewarded with a supportive work environment and an attractive remuneration package, as well as being part of a values driven company committed to your professional development.
