Process Control Specialist

NES Fircroft is partnering with a leading resource client in the rare earths/mineral sands sector to source a Process Control Specialist for their site-based teams in the Midwest area of WA. This is a residential role based in Geraldton, WA, with relocation support available for the successful candidate.

About You

- Qualifications in engineering, computing, or electrical trades

- Experience in industrial or mining environments

- Strong knowledge of networking, virtualized server systems, operating systems, and workstation management

- Proficiency in SCADA configuration/development, PLC and DCS programming, and fault diagnosis

- Preferred: Restricted Electrical Workers' Licence and/or Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation

Job Role

- Provide technical support for plant process control systems and network infrastructure at operational sites

- Perform programming and configuration changes for PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems to support upgrades and operational improvements

- Troubleshoot control systems to minimize downtime and maintain plant integrity, contributing to continuous improvement of automation/control systems

- Ensure the safe and compliant operation of plant equipment and systems
