The Lead Cyber Security Architect will work on complex and sensitive projects, ensuring the security architecture aligns with organisational goals and supports critical reform initiatives.
Our client is a government service provider responsible for delivering and funding support services to thousands of Australians.
This role is located in Canberra with potential nationwide impact.
Responsibilities
Designing and advising on cyber security architecture across multiple capabilities, including identity and access, cyber security operations, and public-facing systems.
Developing IT security standards, policies, procedures, and controls to manage risks effectively.
Supporting compliance with relevant standards such as PSPF, ISM, and Agency Risk Management Frameworks.
Collaborating with project teams and subject matter experts to deliver secure solutions.
Producing technical documentation and presenting to executive stakeholders.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in cyber security architecture, including governance, risk, and compliance.
Proven ability to work in agile environments and adapt to changing project directions.
Experience assessing risks and security standards in greenfield environments.
Strong knowledge of Australian Government governance concepts, particularly in ICT policy and standards development.
CISSP certification or equivalent (desirable).
Demonstrated skills across all architecture domains, including business, information, security, data, technology, integration, and application (desirable).
Requirements
Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain NV1 clearance (essential).
Salary
Salary: A$156,000.00 - A$196,000.00 per year
