Overview

Assisting clients in sourcing candidates for both permanent and contract roles. This advertisement is for a Cyber Security Architect with a current NV1 or above clearance, based in Canberra on a long-term day rate contract.

Base pay range

A$137.00/hr - A$156.00/hr

Role Description

As the Cyber Security Architect, you will be working closely with the Cyber Security Manager and Product Manager for the successful development and delivery of a cyber security architecture and supporting documentation.

The role involves substantial interaction with and coordination of ongoing consultation, engagement, and expectation management across:

  • The Department of Defence
  • Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG)
  • CIOG security functions including security architecture and Certification and Accreditation authorities
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Security Specialist/Architect inside complex and large-scale ICT projects/programs, with a thorough understanding of the technology stack.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing ICT and Cyber Security policies, frameworks, and industry standards, including but not limited to:
  • Protective Security Principles Framework (PSPF)
  • Information Security Manual (ISM)
  • Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF)
  • NIST SP-800 series
  • ISO 27000 series
    • Highly developed technical writing skills
    • Highly self-motivated and able to work under broad direction to achieve directed outcomes
    • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with Defence and Defence Industry stakeholders
    • NV1 or above clearance is mandatory
    • Candidates must be based in Canberra or be willing to relocate to Canberra (at your own cost)
    Qualifications
    • Clearance: NV1 or above (mandatory).
    • Location: Canberra, or willing to relocate to Canberra (at own cost).
    • Familiarity with Defence cyber-worthiness concepts (desirable).
    • Experience with architecture frameworks and notation methods (e.g., DODAF, TOGAF, SABSA, UAF) (desirable).
    • Experience in the Australian Department of Defence in a Technical, ICT, and Cyber Security role (desirable).
    • Familiarity with the One Defence Capability System (desirable).
